FORE (listed on the Apple App Store as **Play FORE**) is a golf game for iPhone only. You hold the phone in one hand like an 8-iron, tap SWING, wait for a haptic countdown, then take a soft swing. The app reads the gyroscope and accelerometer at 100 Hz and flies a ball at one island green. Wind affects every shot.

There is no aiming. The only two inputs are how fast you swing, which sets carry distance, and how you rotate your wrist through the ball, which shapes the shot left or right.

The first launch is a short range of six guided swings: how to swing, land it short, fly the back of the green, shape it left, shape it right, then a crosswind to play against. After that it is the island. Shot statistics keep hole-in-ones, averages and the last ten swings, all on the device.

The home-screen name under the icon is FORE. The store listing name is Play FORE because the shorter names were already taken.

## How to play

1. Hold the iPhone in one hand like an 8-iron. Screen toward the target, buttons toward you, camera end at the ground.
2. Tap SWING, then lower the phone into your stance. The countdown will not start until you do.
3. Three short buzzes for 3 · 2 · 1, then one long buzz for GO. Swing softly through the ball on the long buzz.
4. Watch the ball, read the result card, try again.

## Privacy, short

Motion data is used on-device to read the swing and is never uploaded. The shot history stays on the phone. Anonymous product events (opens, shots, drills, tutorial, screenshots-as-events, not images) go to PostHog in the EU under a random per-install identifier.
